Lluneta Puzzles

What's your name?
Cristina

Where are you from?
Barcelona, but i live in Alicante, Spain

When did you start puzzling?
In my first memories with puzzles was helping my Grandfather, I remember a 6000 piece puzzle of the Tower of Babel from 1992, so I was about 5 years old. Because of my interest my parents started to give me puzzles as a gift, which I did all over again. A few years ago I discovered puzzle contests and since then it has become more than a hobby where I have met many puzzler friends. Luckily in my country there are many contests, I like to participate in the speed puzzling contests, and go to meet ups to do large puzzles together with many people.

What is your favorite piece count and why?
500 pieces- I can do them in a short time. But I also love big puzzles, last summer I made one of 24000 pieces for the second time, It contains 4 bags of 6000 pieces each and I mixed them without sorting.

What is your favorite type of art?
My favourite puzzles are the colorful ones, I collect puzzles of all kinds, but mostly Gradients, puzzles with colorful illustrations, art and vintage finds.

What makes you keep puzzling and how often do you puzzle?
I try to do puzzles almost every day and a couple of times a year some puzzles bigger than 6000 pieces. I open the box, put the pieces on the table, and turn them over, I don't separate or sort. But I like to plan and guess how long it will take to do a large puzzle, and how much each area will take me. It doubles the fun. And it's my relax time.

What is your go to drink/snack when you puzzle?
I usually only eat when I rest, near the puzzle I only have water or coke, sometime some gummies. But I don't like to touch the puzzle with dirty hands.

Tell us a little bit about your other joys.
I like interior design and miniatures , I am assembling a doll house, the electrical system, the furniture, maybe they are like 3D puzzles that I can decorate. Unfortunately the days have no more than 24 hours.
