Tell us about what your ordinary day looks like.
During the day I work a busy, corporate job and in the evenings I like to spend quality time with my wife and our 3 furbabies.
How did you get into the world of puzzling?
As a long time fan, I started to collect Sanrio and Snoopy puzzles from Japanese brands almost 10 years. A year ago I started to branch into other puzzle brands and have been exploring ever since.
What makes you keep puzzling & how often do you puzzle?
I love the little hits of dopamine puzzling produces and engaging in the puzzle community, which includes some of the kindest people I’ve encountered! I wish I could puzzle daily but can only fit in 2-3 sessions a week.
What is your favorite type of puzzle?
While completing my first Rowon x Soonness puzzle, I realized I love busy, colorful, illustrated puzzles. I’m also a big fan of stained glass, crystal puzzles from Japan which are basically transparent plastic pieces.
During puzzling sessions, do you listen to anything or puzzle in silence?
I like to have the TV on in the background or at least some music.
If you were to describe what puzzling means to you, what would it be?
Puzzling keeps me grounded and quiets the chaos.
Tell us about your other interests & joys.
Art and anything creative are my other interests. I love how art in puzzle form forces you to experience every detail and think about it in ways you wouldn’t normally.
Do you have anything you want to share?
My wife and I love to dream up different sets to photograph our cats in. She’s the talent behind the lens and runs our cats’ Instagram, @cosimagrace. Cosima, Tokyo and Kira also make appearances on my account, @purrsuitofpuzzles, mainly on #puzzlepurrsday. We enjoy seeing everyone else’s pets and hope more puzzlers feature their furbabies as well.
