Tell us about what your ordinary day looks like.
I am a part-time professional organizer, and a full-time volunteer. I normally wake up really early. Pour that cup of coffee and start my day off with my favorite book and then it right into puzzling. Some days I have more or less time to puzzle.

How did you get into the world of puzzling?
My story is a funny one. I received a very challenging puzzle when I was in 8th grade in 1979 it was a solid yellow puzzle. I think that puzzle traumatized me. So from 1979 to 2020 I wouldn’t touch a puzzle. One day in 2020 I decided to try puzzling again, it not only brought me joy and calmness, but it brought my husband and I closer together.

BTW My parents still had that puzzle in the attic and surprised me one day with it. Not only did I finish it. That puzzle is now traveling and has been done by others. The rest of my love for puzzling is history!!

What makes you keep puzzling & how often do you puzzle?
What keeps me puzzling is not only the self care aspect of it, but also the quality time that I spend with family and friends. I puzzle on a daily basis but of course depending on my other obligations it can be just a few pieces to finishing a puzzle. I look forward to snow puzzling day and normally have two puzzles (or more) going at the same time.

What is your favorite type of puzzles?
I love to puzzle images that make me smile! My husband and I particularly love puzzling ocean life. I also love a good challenge like a solid colors puzzle. A few years back, I was introduced to the world of wooden puzzles, I fell in love with them immediately. I also love original artwork, collages, animals, gradient puzzles. I also love a good vintage puzzle. The smallest puzzle I did was 36 pieces and my largest to date is 9000.

During puzzling sessions, do you listen to anything or puzzle in silence?
It depends on my mood whether or not I listen to music or just watch a movie. When I puzzle with family and friends, it’s a wonderful time to talk and laugh together.

If you were to describe what puzzling means to you, what would it be?
Puzzling = accomplishment

Tell us about your other interests & joys.
My husband and I love to runaway for a day and find a good hiking spot and then the search is on for a good burger. Chris and I also have a fur baby named spike, he’s a beautiful tuxedo cat.
