Tell us about what your ordinary day looks like.
I am Mom so an ordinary day would be taking care of my husband, my kids, and our pets, and doing all the work to keep our house running smoothly.
How did you get into the world of puzzling?
I have always loved games and puzzles. I love pattern matching and organization so puzzling was a very nice fit for my strengths and interests.
What makes you keep puzzling & how often do you puzzle?
I puzzle every week and I don't ever look at the image to make the puzzle last a little bit longer. I also don't usually do puzzles more than once so I give away all my puzzles when I am done.
What is your favorite type of puzzles?
I love any puzzle, but my favorites are gradients and vibrant illustrative images. I also try to support women owned or minority owned puzzle companies whenever I can.
During puzzling sessions, do you listen to anything or puzzle in silence?
I love to listen to podcasts, books, or music when I puzzle. I also love it when people sit down and work on a puzzle with me so we can talk and puzzle at the same time.
If you were to describe what puzzling means to you, what would it be?
Puzzling helps me relax and helps my mental health. It is self-care time which as a stay at home Mom, you don't often get.
Tell us about your other interests & joys.
I love to thrift and go to the flea market. I love vintage glass and porcelain. I love to hike and spend time with family and friends. I also love board games. My favorites are Seven Wonders, Rummy Q, and Carcassonne.
Do you have anything you want to share?
Puzzling is a great way to relax and unwind, but puzzling has brought me so much more than that. I share my puzzles anonymously in my greater community (and whenever I travel!) and I learn so much about the world around me through the simple act of sharing a puzzle.
