Tell us about what your ordinary day looks like.
I am a typical 12 year old who loves to go to school. I love to solve math problems and I am part of the chess club. When I get home, I usually love to play video games. But first, I must complete a task and I always prefer the task to be puzzles than helping with chores.
How did you get into the world of puzzling?
We had a slow start to puzzling. I started around the pandemic completing 48 piece and 100 piece floor puzzles. Recently, my mom got crazy obssessed with puzzles and started buying lots of puzzles. She usually tries to buy puzzles that she knows I will like including the Halloween Advent Calendar that I just finished.
What makes you keep puzzling & how often do you puzzle?
I am motivated by the reward of games and screen times. Sometimes, I do ask to do puzzles on my own because it is fun and I genuinely enjoy it.
What is your favorite type of puzzle?
I have done from 100 to 500 pieces. I have asked my parents to do a 1000 soon.
During puzzling sessions, do you listen to anything or puzzle in silence?
I just concentrate on doing my puzzles. I don't like it when my mom tries to help. She gets annoeyd that I do not sort my pieces.
