Tell us about what your ordinary day looks like.
I’m a flight attendant, so my days are rarely “ordinary.” I’m often in the air, moving between cities and time zones, meeting new people and collecting little moments along the way. Travel is a big part of my life, but when I finally have quiet time to myself, I really value slowing down. That’s when I love to puzzle - it’s my way of grounding myself, staying present, and giving my mind a gentle break from the constant motion.

How did you get into the world of puzzling?
Puzzling started for me with my dad. It was something we used to do together, sitting down and working on a puzzle piece by piece. It became a shared moment of calm and connection, and those memories really stayed with me. Last summer, after I was injured at work and recovering from a concussion, puzzling took on a whole new meaning. I was home a lot and dealing with anxiety and stress, and I needed something that would help me focus, calm my mind, and support my brain during recovery. Puzzling became that safe space something familiar, comforting, and quietly healing.

What makes you keep puzzling & how often do you puzzle?
I keep puzzling because it brings me peace. It helps ease my anxiety, improves my focus, and gives me a sense of accomplishment without pressure. No matter how busy or chaotic life gets, puzzling reminds me to slow down and enjoy the process. I come back to it whenever I need grounding - especially during my downtime between trips. In a week I can make 5 to 8 puzzles.

What is your favorite type of puzzle?
I love puzzles with colorful artwork and lots of small details. I’m especially drawn to images inspired by Asian culture - the richness, patterns, and vibrant colors make the process so fun and immersive. I also really appreciate puzzles that feature Black characters or figures. Seeing diversity represented in art matters to me, and it makes the experience feel even more meaningful and personal. I love taking my time and discovering all the little details, piece by piece.

During puzzling sessions, do you listen to anything or puzzle in silence?
I love music so most of the time is old school R&B, love Song or music from my country - I’m Haitian… I also enjoy any type of music that can make me dance and sometimes that also slow my process to finish a puzzle I love it, I have best of both world.

If you were to describe what puzzling means to you, what would it be?
My happy place. I zone out and it feels like I am in my own little world.

Tell us about your other interests & joys.
Outside of puzzling, I love traveling, discovering new cities, and experiencing different cultures through my work. I enjoy cozy moments at home, as much as delicious food - I love love food. I also love books as I love to read. Besides the cozy activities, I am always ready for a new adventure.

Do you have anything you want to share?
A reminder to slow down when you can. Even in a busy world, it’s okay to take time for simple things that bring calm and clarity one piece at a time. Puzzle is community is for everyone - there is no age limit, everyone can have fun with it! I created my puzzle instagram account this year to share my puzzling journey with others.
