Tell us about what your ordinary day looks like.
I work at a vet clinic so when I am not there I am usually home spending time with my cats Colette and Finn.
How did you get into the world of puzzling?
I have a memory of doing one unicorn puzzle when I was around 9 years old and really enjoyed it but didn't puzzle anymore after. I don't know why I didn't continue. Last August I was in a thrift store and stumbled upon a vintage puzzle. I thought it would be fun to do so I took it home. I had no idea how that one vintage puzzle would turn into such a big hobby for me, but I'm glad it did.
What makes you keep puzzling & how often do you puzzle?
I have found that puzzles have really helped me with my anxiety and stress, but mostly I just love the act of putting the puzzle together. I generally puzzle every day.
What is your favorite type of puzzles?
I like 1000 piece puzzles the most as I find most 500 piece puzzles go together too quick. I tend to do a lot of food related images and illustration. I love M.C. Escher's art so I have done a numbers of his and Frank Lloyd Wright is also a favorite.
During puzzling sessions, do you listen to anything or puzzle in silence?
I absolutely need SOMETHING to listen to while I am puzzling. I often rewatch show like New Girl or The Good Place. I enjoy listening to a podcast.
If you were to describe what puzzling means to you, what would it be?
A calm satisfying rush!
Tell us about your other interests & joys.
In my spare time I volunteer at a cat shelter. I enjoy cooking, learning about philosophy and antiquing. I am usually at an estate sale on the weekend looking for the elusive vintage puzzles I hope to one day find.
