What's your name?
Anni
Where are you from?
Finland
When did you start puzzling?
I remember puzzling a lot when I was a kid. When I was a teen I started doing adult sized puzzles. Eventually I got bored with the designs on offer so I stopped. A couple of years back I saw some really artsy puzzle images and it peaked my interest. I found out that there is so much more variety nowadays. I started again and fell in love.
What is your favorite piece count and why?
I think all piece counts have their uses. What I prefer depends on my mood and the time I have available. I do stay between 500 and 2000 though.
What is your favorite type of art?
I favor abstract images but I love illustrations too. Anything with bright colours and bold designs really.
What makes you keep puzzling and how often do you puzzle?
Puzzling is like meditation. It helps me unwind and destress. Sometimes I even reach the flow state and I really enjoy that feeling. I would do it for those benefits alone. But also, I love the community of puzzlers. Everyone has been very kind to me. I find so many new exciting designs and brands to try from the community. And information, which I love because I'm quite nerdy. I puzzle as much as I can. Lately it's been once or twice a month. I would love to have more time!
What is your go to drink/snack when you puzzle?
I'm too nervous about damaging my puzzles so I hardly eat or drink when I do them. But when I do I go for candy. Colourful candies with colourful puzzles.
Tell us a little bit about your other joys.
My other hobbies bring me joy. I am a nerd and a geek. While I love video games and board games, my favourite pastime is tabletop roleplaying. I absolutely love stories and playing an rpg let's me live inside one for a moment.
