Tell us about what your ordinary day looks like.
I work from home doing admin work for two cancer research centers. I try to do a little puzzling in the morning before hopping on the computer. I’m also an actress-director-producer so days may include an audition, a rehearsal or hopefully something creative! I like to get out for a walk each day with my husband and then wind down after dinner with, you guessed it, more puzzling!
How did you get into the world of puzzling?
I did a little puzzling here and there when I was younger and then about 12 years ago my mom got a few Dollar Store puzzles for our family to speed puzzle at the holidays and it unearthed my puzzle passion - I’ve been puzzling regularly ever since!
What makes you keep puzzling & how often do you puzzle?
I try to puzzle at least a little every day. I puzzle because it helps center me and it gets my eyes off all the screens. Also, I just really enjoy it!
What is your favorite type of puzzles?
I'm drawn to colorful illustrations (which explains why I'm a mega SOONNESS fan!). I’m also a sucker for those velvety pieces. I usually do 1,000 or 500 pieces.
During puzzling sessions, do you listen to anything or puzzle in silence?
In the morning I usually keep it quiet to clear my head for the day and at night I'll either play music or listen to TV.
If you were to describe what puzzling means to you, what would it be?

I love creating! I'm a theatre gal at heart and after moving to Los Angeles from NYC, I formed a theatre group which has been extremely rewarding. We've done plays, musicals, and cabarets. Most recently we did 'SILENCE! The Musical' (The Unauthorized Parody of Silence of the Lambs) which was as ridiculous as it sounds. I wrote a musical parody about my real-life experiences with online dating that was a blast and happily/sadly resonated with a lot of our audiences. I also recently played the Witch in 'Into the Woods' which was an awesome experience.
I also enjoy video production and editing. I've been in some film, TV, and commercials – there’s a chance you may have seen me in something here or there!
I love a night out at a Paint & Sip, playing mini golf with family and game night with friends. My favorite destination is Maui and I hope to visit Europe sometime soon!
