Created by artist Colin Johnson, this piece is a collage work which was inspired by the colorful complexity of crazy quilts (specifically by the work of Baltimore based quilt maker Elizabeth Scott). Colin's attempt was to create his own style of colorful work using collage as a medium, which is a signature style of his work. He wants the viewer to enjoy looking at this work and puzzling over for a long periods of time, and return to again and again.

Outstanding Puzzle (As Usual)

I absolutely LOVED assembling New World. It was my first Soonness puzzle with the new random cut pieces, and they were so fun to assemble. The art style was also very enjoyable to put together. It seems overwhelming at first, but the collage had nice blocks of colors and patterns that made the puzzle very satisfying. Highly recommended!
